Budget Decor Tip - Don’t Forget Your Dinnerware
It’s no great secret that I’m a total nut about dinnerware. What you may not know, though, is that dinnerware can actually be a major part of your decor and a relatively cheap way to make a room look very different.
Take the room below, for example. It’s very nice, but it’s also extremely white. It’s a look that definitely isn’t for everyone. And what if you wanted a different look - something more colorful, perhaps?
Well, for starters, I would ditch the white dishes. Think of how the room would look with bright blue dishes, or bright red dishes? The whole place would be brighter. Or, take a look at the room below:
There’s no dinnerware in place, but imagine the way a brown or tan set would look. It would blend in and add little to the room. Then think about a green set, or even a bright red set. Green could add a natural look to the room, making it feel almost like you’re in a forest. Red would look festive.
NEVER underestimate the role your place settings play in decorating a room. Yes, you may put them away at times, but when they’re out, they speak just as loudly as any other element in your decor.
